Leaving this game already
Im done with this game already and this is because of the matchmaking. The game's matchmaking is the worst, I'm getting matched with players who barely know what the game is about, not to mention that apparently most of them are kids with microphones that bust your ear, while on the other team for some strange and stupid reason I get matched against players with more than 3k or 5k hours who won the last 4 smite world championships, gods with X mastery that wait for us at our spawn to wipe us out as soon as they see us. This problem wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't for the fact that it happened to me 5 or 6 games in a row, which is frustrating.

Ok bye, there's the door.

Sorry to shock you no one cares you're leaving and no one knows who you are and it won't effect the outcome of this game in any way what so ever.
10 years. different game. New rankings. etc etc
He's 100% right, and people should stop excusing this. 20K player base (Steam alone, let's not forget) it's enough to balance this ♥♥♥♥ properly.

Don't forget the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ p2w practices of making everyone REBUY smite 1 skins all over again FROM SCRATCH. And in one persons review, this is the conversion rate from euros to dollars. €15 skin in Smite 1 costs you $16.50

€10 additional cost for the same skin in Smite 2 translates to $11.00

€0.25 worth of favor: $0.275

€1.50 weekly login rewards in Smite 1: $1.65

€0.83 weekly login rewards in Smite 2: $0.913

€7.50 diamond pass: $8.25

€15 every 3 gods for ascension passes: $16.50

€1320 for all ascension passes: $1452.00

NOBODY is spending THOUSANDS of dollars just to rebuy every god they happen to port over or make for new ones, because they don't care about the players, only the money in their wallets and bank/credit accounts.

Isnt a party of 2 allowed anymore?
Just get a decent player from your friendlist and carry most games to win? Is my thought..

Now, skins cost more than twice as many gems too even if its roughly the same real world money amount. Aka prices have more than doubled, which means your Smite 1 skin doesn't even correspond to 50% of a Smite 2 skin that is a carbon copy of the original. Bought a 17 dollar skin in Smite 1 season 5 and it finally got ported to Smite 2? Get ready to drop another 11 dollars to buy the same skin again, what a bargain! (aka SCAM.) Currently there's only 1 skin you can fully pay for with legacy gems, in Smite 1 you spent 400 gems. If you buy it now, it costs 2600. Price is a ripoff. In both the first and second game you have daily login rewards. In the first one it was 50 gems (1/8th to 1/12th of a battle pass or skin chest) and 1250 favor (about 1/8th of a recolor skin) per week. Favor was awarded in small amounts every match and could also get you voice packs and such. In Smite 2 you get 100 gems per week (1/26th of a skin). Assuming 1250 favor is roughly €0.25, you went from getting roughly €1.50 every week from daily logins to €0.83, aka a 44.67% drop in value, from a dollar and 65 cents worth of favor to a pathetic 91 cents worth of favor. For the acension pass system, to get all rewards for leveling a god, you need to buy a 900 (an eight dollar) diamond pass which costs 8 dollars and 25 cents After maxing out a god you get 450 diamonds, so you need to spend 16-17 dollars every 3 gods to get their global emote, a few recolors, a badge, a card effect, and a title. Smite currently has 130 gods and Smite 2 has 2 more, so you need to buy 88 ascension passes to get all basic things for each god, that's a whopping 1 thousand 4 hundred and fifty two dollars.

First off that's, like, what? one decent fast food paycheck? Two if you're a newbie working the fries? Seriously. lol. 1k is nothing.

Second, who is going to realistically buy every single thing. I'm sure someone. Ya know. People can drop ridiculous amount of money on things. But for the majority, no one.

I much prefer this system so I can just work on the gods I care about. I'm sure there's going to be things that irk me along the way. I want X but it's on X god ascension and I am horrible with X god.

I've mentioned before not a big fan of conquest, just stick to assault as the main and arena if i'm leveling for a specific god. So, to me, being able to focus in on just the ones I want, is a dream come true. lol

thats the thing, basic kit items should be ya know, PRE-INCLUDED. the sticker, the emote, the banner? That's what people meant by having to rebuy every god again even if they had the ultimate god pack from SMITE 1 just so hirez can scam people out of their hard earned money.

What do you expect noobies to do in this game? You learn NOTHING against AI. AI is so stupid it actually is hillarious.

But, I saw that today, I have no idea if there is any proper match making in alpha, but it does not feel good atm

Well the AI isn't suppose to provide a worthwhile challenge, it's more to learn the ability of your chosen god and generalized positioning

You can learn a lot playing vs the AI, just not the PvP interaction stuff; about your god, items, builds, skills, the map, buff camps, GF, FG, towers, map flow etc.
I remember playing smite1 as a 5k h support just to be paired with an adc that literally played his very first conquest game ever. Matchmaking was always bad. General smite rule of thumb: dont't play alone, your sanity will be gone, 2 ppl is nice, but still too much rando shice. You need at least 2 buddies to have fun imo. The more the merrier; although full premade conquest can lead to hyperhidrosis, i.e. excessive sweating.
