Then a casual plays it and you'd swear the god needs a complete rework to be viable.
He was permabanned in the tournament and the one time he got through he turned the whole game into a clown show.
This is what happens when you throw Anubis levels of damage on the most mobile character in the game, give him the option to at any point once just win a team fight (and have an immediate gold lead over everyone) an ultimate that also makes him the at worst second best 1v1 character oh and give a free boost to any items he ever builds.
He's clearly overtuned.
The noobs you see on him give him a bad rep because he has a somewhat higher skill floor but once the player is even remotely competent... Oof
Ive played against a few really good Aladdin players in the arena. He is definitly not op. Anyone else thats a better player can beat Aladdin with their favorite character. Ive crushed good Aladdins in arena with medusa, agni, sol, cupid, pele, and a few others. Maybe Aladdin in conquest is different. I havent played any conquest.
Of course he is way less of a problem in arena and assault. There's barely any usable walls and economy is much less of an issue, and his clear is way less of a factor.
Any slower mode with laning (conquest, joust, duel, slash) he is (or would be) a menace.
The silly thing about him is that he already has way more damage and mobility compared to other kits but even if he gets into a losing situation he can just ult and get his health and cooldowns back...
So you either nuke him or kill him twice over with the second time being massively weighted against you...
He is way overtuned and will get nerfed, regardless of how you feel about it.
So many times it's like OOOOHHH I GOTCHAWHEREDAFACKYOUGOIN !?!?!?
but if i can JUST GET MY HANDS ON HIM my team will tear him down pretty quick.
And at this point I just hang outside the lamp waiting for everyone to come out nice and bunched up for that easy freeze.
But yeah has it's moments of frustration that I can't help but think it's TOO MUCH mobility. lol
