Is matchmaking broken? I have never seen so many awful, awful players.
After 1400 hours in Smite on Steam and who knows how many before it hit Steam, I've seen a lot of bad players which is fine, but this is on a whole different level. I can't remember the last time I saw numbers like these. I'm used to seeing your 2-9, 1-7, etc. That's fine.

But EVERY game I'm in has more than one person going something like 1-17, 3-23, etc. Usually two people are a combined 4-30 when it's all done. They insta-deny any surrender like they are programmed bots. Are they real players? I feel like they can't be. I could literally be blind and play this and not die that many times.

I started taking screenshots just because I feel like it's so bad I must be dreaming. It has to be broken. It's like the matchmaking logic is set like "if lastgame = loss, pair with people who have lost 10x more games"

If youre playing casual then yes that happens a lot, cause theres no matchmaking for casual. Just play ranked, eventually youll climb and you should be good.

Is this a joke and troll advice? I'm personally playing ranked myself, and, oh well, it's not good either.

I had a match yesterday in ranked with enemy Izanami having practically 0 experience in Casual Conquest. Yet she came into Ranked Conquest while being what? 5-7 account level but she gets that access because she has enough gods with the Founder's Edition pack?

I could understand if that's Smite 1 player gaming in Conquest in Smite 1 and that player switches to Smite 2 because most gods just work the same, it's the items in most situations that you should relearn. But when a person is completely new to Smite 2, gets Founder's pack and thus aquires access to Smite 2 Ranked system, that shouldn't work like that.

In the other match I was playing with Herc who was running around as if it was a bot activated.

I am not saying I am playing great and I am a good player, but when we have teammates like THAT in ranked, that questions me about Ranked value overall and if it's worth time spending.

-----

And if someone acts like "but you can give them advice". What kind of advice can you give in a RANKED game? In a casual game where players are learning, yeah, sure. But in a ranked game I expect players to at least know basics like not jumping 1 vs 5 every single time and ending it like 0-10 at 10 minutes mark constantly spamming the "surrender" button and then staying AFK at base if they fail to surrender.

Hey guys, I know that I'm playing a beta game but the matchmaking isn't right. If you're new to the game and have never played Smite before, you'll have a hard time getting in. If you lose the first few games because of that, you'll lose all the time because I feel like the matchmaking is based on that. You wait an average of 2 minutes for a game and then you only get in with newbies or trolls and lose again and the next match is the same again and so on and so on. I would be very happy if this was fixed. Otherwise, I think it's a good game with a lot of fun factor. Thanks Hi-Rez. PS: that's just my opinion, I could be wrong and I'm just too bad for the game KEKW

"I have never seen so many awful, awful players..." This is why Smite tends to be up there with the toxic communities. Look in a mirror, bro. But I'm sure you don't care. xD

Matchmaking is busted in ranked and casual even if you have a 3,000 + SR when you question you're teammate and check tracker gg you will see "amber 532 SR" lmao ranked where the high quality matches are at you know the one's you sweat to reach higher ranks just to be slapped with low SR players on you're team ...

btw it's not the amber players fault ... i don't blame them it's not their fault they got thrown into a lobby with plats and high diamonds...

If they want more people to play ranked then they really need to prove that if you grind the matches you get in become higher quality if i'm grinding my teeth looking at my team mates going 0 - 7 within 8 mins i have to question it ... and it happens often and tracker gg shows their SR and ur like how what?!

I'm glad for bad players, means new players are trying the game out, which is great! Throw the SMITE 1 mentality down the bin.

okay whats that got to do with them making a matchmaking that put's people with a high SR or a high level with other good players and put the newbs with the newbs?

it works both ways if they get crapped on they may hate the game and we get them on our team we don't have fun?

They need to increase the matchmaking timer and let it cook instead of trying to put everyone in a match within the first 2 mins lol i'd rather wait 5 mins then waste 30 mins

How is saying that I'matched with awful players, toxic?

I don't give a flying rip about how bad people are. I just don't want to be matched with those people.

Hence the title of the thread.

I guess most people go straight to pvp. I’m still learning most champs in games vs AI lol. 65 hours in now.
Smart guy, we love you for this brother
kaymond 24 de jan. às 15:19
Being a new player myself I can assure you that being on the other end of all that isn't a lot of fun either. Playing against AI is just boring and not comparable to real games at all, meaning it won't really help you get better. Then in conquest you just get stomped and flamed and many people surrender or even report you the second they clock you as a noob.
Believe me, people are trying but not everybody has a lot (or any) moba experience. Understanding the intricacies of these games is not a given, it has to be learned.

Personally all this made me uninstall the game because my new player experience was just frustrating and not fun at all. It's a bit sad because I do enjoy the gameplay itself. I wish I could play against other people who are just as clueless as I am but I only run into people like you lmao
Letsfail 24 de jan. às 17:43
(Oh dear, smite 1 vets playing against brand new players who could also be totally new on mobas, i'd be actually amazed if new players were to grit their teeth and decided to stay ; wondering how competent the ai is at training new people, i remember smite 1 ai was just not good at all to the point that playing against bots would never prepare you for pvp)

I couldnt understand the rage of OP, this game is new, people are still learning and testing this Queue fest and to be honest this game have nothing spcecial that requires too much IQ to understand, Just go all out killing stealing your friends and running like a goofy, Even 5 years childrens can play this, do not even need much effort to learn, its jut mash button and kill steal fest. a little goofy game to play and quit when feel bored. Also queue in this game is terrible, and to help, the game punish with bans afk player or rage quiters to make queue even more frustrating,.

I mean, then don't play a competitive game, if you are going to afk or rage quit. That's how all PvP competitive games work.
