smite 2 cant run this game should (I think easy anticheat is the problem)!!!!!!
I play Smite on PC, and it works perfectly fine without any issues. However, Smite 2 doesn’t work at all, and I’m hoping someone here might know a solution.

I just bought the €100 version of Smite 2, but every time I try to start it, the game initializes, says "waiting to play," and then crashes. On top of that, my Windows starts bugging out when I attempt to run the game.

I’ve already tried launching it with the DX12 setting, but it didn’t work. I also followed a suggestion I found in a Steam forum, where a developer mentioned deleting the EasyAntiCheat folder and resetting it. After doing that, the game won’t even try to start anymore.

If this continues, I’ll have no choice but to refund the game.

For context, my PC is brand new, with a fresh CPU and a 4070 TI GPU. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys! 😄

Sorry to hear you are having trouble launching the game. Obvious and dumb question that I apologize for asking but I assume you've verified your files? Also what processor are you currently running?

Yes, I’ve already tested the game multiple times for issues and even repaired it. I’ve also tried running it as an administrator. I completely uninstalled the game, including old folder structures, and reinstalled it, but I’m still encountering the same bug.

My friend logged into his account on his PC, and for him, it worked without any issues. However, I’ve noticed more people on Discord streams and Reddit forums reporting the same problem.

My CPU is the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 6-core processor, and I have 32GB of RAM, so my setup shouldn’t be the issue. There must be some file causing the problem, likely in connection with the anti-cheat system. The game launches to the point where the anti-cheat system loads, and then my explorer crashes.

im not sure if you can uninstall just the anti cheat from the game files within easy anti cheat folder or run the setup there to reinstall it. worth a try if you can

you could try deleting the anti cheat folder specifically and then verifying to reinstall those

I uninstalled the game again and even tried downloading it via Epic Games. Even using the launcher, Smite 2 still doesn't work—the same problem occurs. This must have something to do with the game files / Anti-Cheat.

@Deyeck I already tried deleting the Anti-Cheat folder and launching the game, but unfortunately, that didn’t work either.
