Smite 2 is the next gen. It is on diapers and growing slowly but steady.
A lot of people complain because they expected a full content game matching everything from old Smite 1 in Smite 2 alpha release. That’s not how things works. They are not a 1,000 employees company with billion dollar resources. And they are working hard with what they have which should be praised.
Smite 2 will mature over time and totally overshadow Smite 1 in every aspect. It just takes a lot of work and time.
The devs are listening hints to why they did an alpha in the first place cause they needed feedback. they have been fixing all the bugs if you even keep up with the game. The game was very rough in the beginning but has gotten better over time.
The graphics look more cartoony in smite 2 due to UE5 being an upgraded engine. having actual good colors and having the ability to have an art style. unlike smite 1 due to its out dated engine colors look dull and boring making the style very washed out. So in other words it’s the same art style just updated with better colors.
And again the devs do listen cause they did try the realistic look for smite 2 and guess what?? The community hated the style and that’s why smite 2 looks like it is today because of the players feedback.
Agree I refunded my founders edition back when the first alpha week happened cause i didn’t enjoy the game at all but over time i fell in love. The changes they did brought me back and hopefully people just give it a second chance cause it’s not a bad game in my opinion is already better than smite 1 and with the new aspect system they brought in the new patch just made it even better.
aaaahh thats not true at all mate, the game is cartoony because they are doing fortnite themed artstyle, you can add color through reshade/freestyle in smite 1 and it in no way shape or form looks like its a cartoon. Smite 2 looks like a cartoon not because of the colors but because of the dog water art style they are going with. just letting you know instead of making a dog water excuse like that. shame on you bro.
also fyi, nobody complained about smite 1 graphics and how the game was more realistic in artstyle, its infact the opposite, when smite 2 released, tons of people said the games too cartoonish and isnt realistic like how smite 1 was. Smite 2 is a mobile game that made its way to consoles and thats a hard fact you guys glazin on smite 2 need to accept.
Im not even glazing on the game bro im just stating facts 😭 I love smite 2 but im not blind to its problems AND you are so wrong my guy nobody called smite 2 cartoony when it came out they were complaining it was too REAL and dull looking due to it not having colors nor a style it was just flat out standard UE5.
Hi-rez saw the complaints and they decided to make it look closer to smite 1 by giving it the old style just updated and with more vibrant colors woah. Smite 1 may look more “realistic” but thats because it’s simply an outdated game that hasn’t received a graphical update since the beta and UE3 is like 20 years old so things just look washed out in that engine.
Compare smite 2 to smite 1 and tell me which one looks more pleasing to look at. A washed out, outdated style or a more an improved style with actual good colors??
