Yea, I was curious yesterday and queued for one of these. I just logged out at 3 minutes. It's not worth the time.
Where do you guys live? I haven't noticed queue's for this long. Maybe it has something to do with your region/internet provider?
I'm on the NA East Coast server playing prime time EST (like 6 PM). It's definitely not my connection (my background is IT and I work from home exclusively). Regular Arena matches are like ~2 minutes. It's making people wait for more than one person to queue for a BOT MATCH.
The population is not big enough for all these separate instances - especially not for making people wait to play against bots. I get they don't want to do those client side because cheaters but ... they would be instant like Practice Mode is, without using server resources if that's the concern.
Just like for a week they didn't allow parties to queue up AI matches, I would bet someone simply forgot to make a simple tweak or change before release. Considering all the layoffs they've done I assume it's hard for the downsized staff to test and catch these things before it goes live.
Yes, it pretty much negates the point of them existing.
