100% the players on Smite Two are AWFUL

Seriously playing Arena mode for quick tests of builds and I have never in my 8 years of Smite, seen so many really REALLY bad players, picking 3 mages 2 assassins and then not even focussing the same targets. Coming out with 1 kill 14 deaths a piece theyre shocking. To the point ive gone back to Smite one where at least you can type to tell people what theyre doing wrong. Here its just zero communication no voice and no text chat.

The match making and game is not really new player friendly. I played an arena match where a Loki had a 72 hour time in stealth on the enemy team. Having someone like that vs players who had no idea how to play the game is pretty rough. It reminds me a lot of closed beta Smite 1.

The fact that they already added a ranked mode and are promoting esports for Smite 2 is concerning for me. Smite 2 is not in a state where competitive can be taken seriously. Really all it does is split the already small player base. You're not going to get quality competitive matches in this alpha. They should really be testing competitive in the open beta.

Just found out not but two seconds ago, you can use mic in Arena. :D
