So yeah, i'm with you, Smite 2 is bad. Gonna keep playin' to be sure but not for too long this time sadly
I feel you. I miss seasons 1-4 mostly. With every new update, they made the game worse. I don't know how the original Paragon didn't kill Smite, tbh.
lack of roles - spell caster or lose has basically always been the case with smite and will always be the case simply due to the game design being 3rd person locked camera so yes thats why you feel lack of roles.
character balance - has never existed they buff high play rate gods and dont touch others, they only nerf when they feel its appropriate or "pros" cry.
All items are available to all gods - always been the case and one of the reasons the store is just overwhelming to new players guess they don't learn, but what do u expect from a company thinking ure5 will fix their mediocre game.
interface - has no right being as bad as it does seeing all a ui is is clickable jpegs and jpegs along with models can all be exported from ure3 so it should at least be the same if not better.
Gameplay - has always felt slow and sluggish and non impactful, due to garbage SFX sounds, character animations, terrible skill design, the inability to know what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on because of the locked 3rd person camera. not knowing if ur being chased or not without doing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 360. even getting a penta in the game feels like ur winning at nothing. 3d person makes the map feel way to big, to much ground to travel sucks out the highs of combat, this game and smite 1 is nothing but a running sim.
the only reason and logical reason they are charging for this game not porting skins over and producing lack luster content is because they either run out of money, people stopped buying their $20 garbage skins in smite 1 that now cant be played in smite 2 XD (get ♥♥♥♥♥♥)
if people wanted smite 2 investors would be lining up at the doors of hi rez and throwing them money, but people dont want smite 2 even more so when it strips u of all ur skins, looks worse, has worse gamplay has worse looking gods, has less gods.
any one that argues against this is just in denial that their fave game is gonna eat the dirt sooner than they expected
imagine being an entilted idiot clearly born less than 20years ago and have zero idea's have games even progress or work.
The alpha should have been invite only. This is in way to early of a state to be purchasable and available to the public.
The skins prices are very expensive. Even with 50% off with legacy gems the average price of a skin is $13.50CDN which is similar to most games without a discount. Anyone new to Smite 2 isn't going to pay $27 for the average skin.
The gameplay is ok but definitely lacking. I get it's an alpha but it already having aggressive microtransactions and hi rez advertising eSports when the game is in such an early state does not give me hope.
Plus he was polite in his critics. You may disagree with him but you don't need to behave like a monkey with rabies.
Smite 1 still really fun but 2 is not bad at all, the monetization is
