Item Store on console makes this unplayable

Long time Smite 1 player, been playing competitive ranked games at a relatively high level for 5+ years now (Diamond/Masters). But the item store on console is so horrendously bad and slow to navigate, it literally makes the game unplayable.

Everything is clustered together, there's magical + physical items in the store available, regardless of what kind of god you pick. It's extremely confusing and slow to navigate.
Actually navigating the store takes several minutes, literally. By the time you can properly buy an item in game, you miss 1-2 minion waves and it just snowballs from there.

For whatever reason there isn't even an item builder. I was hoping at least I could have a page where I add my core items + counter build items and what not before hopping into a game to make it easier, but nope. It's all a giant cluster f***

There's nowhere you can even look through all the new items/reworked items in the main menu, so at least when you hop into a game you have some sort of idea what to buy.

I genuinely don't understand what Hi-Rez is thinking, they did the same thing in Smite 1 with an update and were faced with backlash from console players, then had to patch it back. Now they start Smite 2 and they use an even worse item store lay out.

I am beyond frustrated and annoyed with this, I bought the game and installed it. I tried playing a couple matches and deeply regret spending my money on this piece of garbage, especially when they give 0 f**** about their console players.

It is legitimately unplayable because of how bad the item shop is. I really hate to be "That guy" but please if anyone on console is debating whether or not to invest their hard earned money in this game, do NOT buy this piece of trash until they fix this.

I've spent a lot of money in smite 1, gems and what not and I am just deeply disappointed and frustrated with the product they put out.

I don't think it's too much to ask for. We just want to be able to actually play the game we spent our money on. What was wrong with the Smite 1 store ? Super easy to navigate and flip through pages, items were properly labelled and organized.

The lay out is horrendous and takes ages to navigate. The smite 1 store was extremely easy and console friendly, you could easily within 1-2 seconds navigate the different items, phys def, magic def, pen, hp, cdr etc.

It's all still a complete mess. The side bar they added in smite 2 to navigate the shop is just complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage on console, tried playing 3 matches and I am just forced to rush build whatever item appears because navigating the store is horrendous.

Why is it so difficult to have items arranged properly ?

Have you tried adjusting the Item Store settings under the UI section in the game? It's been pointed out to me that you might want to to set Item Store Layout to Split.

Regrettably it's just as garbage on PC. It's the same menu now for everyone @_@
