HiRez is one of the worst game developers I've ever seen, and this comes after spending well over 1k hours in Smite and a bit less in Paladins and Realm Royale. The company is incompetent, with horrible broken servers, broken game mechanics, unbalanced gameplay, and terrible matchmaking, but it is also completely overbearing and insane with its banning and player punishments. The game will crash to desktop while loading into a match, and then give you a deserter penalty when you load back in.

The report system is also heavily abused, and you will get a 7-day ban for having any type of argument or negative communication with anyone, for any reason. Many have also been banned for literally no reason at all, or something as ridiculous as "spamming the chat system," and no I'm not joking about that. You can be banned for saying "help" too many times in a row, and this isn't just a chat mute or small temporary time-out, it's a 7 DAY BAN which turns into a 14 day ban, and then becomes a PERMANENT BAN on your third "offense," whatever that might be (or for no reason at all.) They can and will do this constantly, including to devoted players and fans who have sunk thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars into their game. They don't care, and have even banned pro players for the most innocuous arguments and comments in chat. "Toxicity" has absolutely no meaning in their TOS, and they can and will therefore ban you for any reason they like, again even if you don't say anything at all but just get reported for playing well or having a bad game. This has actually happened to many players and is not hyperbole.

Then their support will not get back to you, ghost you, or give you an endless run-around in resolving your issue after long delays. There have been literally thousands of players that have experienced this with HiRez, and the forums are always full of people looking for help, appealing bans, or trying to make sense of these absolutely horrible devs. All they seem to care about is scraping the bare minimum of a game together in order to constantly shovel skins and other microtransactions at you before permanently banning you and making you start a new account, buying everything you want again, after the game itself is so toxic that it makes you angry or kicks you out of a game by crashing then punishes you for it. Players have been asking them to improve this for years, along with the servers, along with the game itself and everything else, but Hi-Rez has utterly failed to address any of this and prefers to double down on destroying its own success and driving off most of its players and fans. They have even been caught not playing their pro players, and there is a published article about one of their community managers being caught in a child sex sting. That is not a joke:

I have dealt with this for years because Smite is by far my favorite MOBA and one of my all-time favorite games. I have tried to have patience with these devs, but they are hopelessly corrupt and incompetent. I GUARANTEE YOU that Smite 2 will be the exact same, if not worse, than Smite 1.

Yep, I totally agree with you about balancing problems and abusing of a report system by little kids and trolls.
I was mainly a Duel player back in the day and in that mode you really feel how unbalanced and unfair some gods are like Bastet with her stupid double jump, Bakasura with his flaming blades that do true damage, so all you need is just build attack speed, Hercules super OP, Osiris and so on.
Also they need to do something with the report system I was raising.g and talking about this problem too. They shouldn't ban people permanently and making them lose thousands of hours in the game, cool skins and spent money.

Your first "offense" is an immediate 7 DAY BAN! For literally ANYTHING, and you don't get a warning, you don't get a shorter ban like less than a day, maybe a few hours, you don't even get just a chat ban like other rational companies like Valve use. Just IMMEDIATE 168 hour total ban locked out of your account, can't even log in to the game, can't even play practice mode or anything, and they won't even tell you WHY.

Literally the most insane and stupid thing I have EVER seen a game dev do. It's like they want to purposely destroy their own playerbase. All of the HiRez leadership need to be fired, because the games themselves and the programmers and artists are pretty decent. They could be so much more successful if they weren't completely insane woke morons.

I said “ur a f ing loser” and was supposed to be my second suspension but they escalated it to perma. It was a troll duo and the kumba support stole solo xp for 35 mins just to run away when enemies came and spam stats into chat if we called him out then he told me and the fenrir to “have fun with our bans” lol

I have experienced this so many times that it's unreal. Good players will get taunted and baited by trolls, who are in almost every single match, and then get instantly banned, while I wonder if anything ever happens to these griefers that do this non-stop?

It is honestly weird like they get people to do this on purpose so they can ban players and have them making new accounts and spending more money. I wouldn't put it past Lo-Rez at this point.
