What's the point of pre-ordering to playtest when there's a "request playtest access" button?
What's the difference? Any early rewards for buying into it?

Within 3 months I'm sure Everyone will be able to play though right?
Idk if people will get 'early alpha' rewards or anything so I guess that's also a deciding factor for me

According to their schedule that would be the presumed start of the closed beta, which still requires a key to access. The F2P launch could be in 2025 for all we know.

this founder pack and the way they decided to make the alpha is just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥,you are paying 30 bucks to play x weekends they don't even release the alpha until the game come out in 3 months, you're literally playing the ALPHA game which is going to be full of bugs and things like that and it's limited x weekend. I thought the alpha would run until the beta was released

no the game will be playabale at july 2024. When the game come to "closed beta" it is going to be free for all, people who don't buy founder pack don't need a key to gain access at the closed beta

Yeah.... no. A closed beta requires a key, one without a key is what you call an open beta.

Don't take it from me, take it form the devs.

"SMITE 2 will be free-to-play upon full release. During our Alpha and Beta testing phases, players will need to redeem a free key, gain access via Steam Playtest, or purchase a Founder’s Edition to play."

So if I've got the founders I don't need to do that request access stuff right?

Nope, you can just hop in when they go live for the first alpha weekend (no date yet)

You should have the "- Public test" client in your library already.
