Katana feed back
here's my feed back on katanas. the feed back of others is welcome too. please feel free to disagree with me if you want.

beast marks sword hou needs a buff, i went 70 evasion and it still wasn't enough. i would just simply remove the attack speed debuff if i had to buff it.

muramasa swift slash's attack speed is also pretty slow, even with that 60% attack speed increase, it might be bugged or something. i can attack normally faster than i can use my special swift slash. it also got a damage reduction debuff which is mind boggling.

heidi is a weird one, it doesn't feel like it fits the fire theme of the katana path. it went from dealing extra fire damage turned into increasing your attack speed on dash. while it does do full fire damage on overheat, that just means the other half of the time it just does normal physical damage instead of fire damage when you are out of charges. the other fire katana blazing helbanus is fine, i guess but very lack luster.

rendblade paths are great! i would not change anything about them.

yui's short dagger is just lackluster. a flat 30% crit chance is good, but it's just a stat increase... adamah's oath is good and unique!

library spectral sealing society 1 and 2 is pretty decent and i have no problems with it. but the dash damage increase is bugged and doesn't exist. I would move heidi into this path instead of the fire path of helbanus, and make it so your spirit also attacks as you normal attack.

the ice katana paths do not work with artifact ice vines, because it is a dash and not an attack. also, having a tackle that does nothing and also remove your sheath slash on your tier 1 upgrade is pretty bad.

Tossing in my own input along these lines and as a response.

Beast mark sword hou feels like it's visually neat and cool in ideal, but performance wise it falls into the unfortunate category of weapons which are neat ideas that don't have the numbers to be worth it. It's not terrible but it's damage is definitely lower than it should be.

Muramasa is 'fine'. Just boring. It does it's job though do agree that it doesn't feel like it really gets that much scaling from attack speed to make it feel at all like it's predecessor in dungreed.

Blazing Helbanus has an interesting area for burn builds. Burn is crazy when you get all the key components together, and this just further enhances what is there. If you want the best burn build weapon then this has taken the spot from fire wand.

Heidi: Probably the most effective blend of gameplay alteration that gives the numbers one expects from it. It can still do burn build fine, but it particularly excels at amazing burst damage, very much a hit and run weapon with dashing in and out. Feels pretty dang good to use, though would be fun if 'Overheat' still could get attack speed bonuses to further add to blending enemies up.

Rendblade Ruindance: It falls into the same trapping that Hou ends up in, it's a neat gameplay idea without the numbers to really be worth it. Comparing it directly to above with Heidi. If you want rapid attacks that will do a lot of damage, you actually see the results on Heidi, whereas Ruindance presently feels like more tradeoffs for less returns.

Rendblade Drifting Willow: It works fine for it's idea of big slash. Where Ruindance trades off the original reason you go this upgrade path, this upgrade actually enhances it. Works fine, no further notes.

Yui's Short Dagger: Boring but works fine.

Adamah's Oath: Neat as an idea but questionable scaling. It's the more interesting of the pair and is a fun idea, but could use a number buff.

Library Spectral Sealing Society Mark II: Like it's name, it's a little convoluted for what it wants to do, and unfortunately really doesn't deliver returns for what it does. The dash side is fine albeit rather weak damage wise. It's another "Looks cool but under performs" deal. The counter mechanic just feels like it especially suffers from this. If you were playing much harder than the other upgrade paths and parrying between attacks to keep up maximum dps. You'd maybe be breaking even with the middle of the pack evolution? Where the others just do the same job at far less effort. Either buff the numbers a fair bit, or maybe focus into that dashing aspect more since it doesn't really add that much to the dash attack from the player.

Silence of Everfrost: It's more straightforward at doing what Library Spectral seems to want to do. Get counters, get rewarded with big bursts of AOE cold damage and freeze procs. Scales incredibly well as Ice does, and works well. Do agree with both evolutions that it's weird they can't use ice vine though.

Fragment of Nastrond: It's also amazing for ice relic builds. You just get to add an entirely new scaling dps source to ice relic build. No further notes outside the ice vine issue.
