B to Accept and A to Cancel mix me up all the time, any way to change it?
Is there a hidden setting or some thing? or any other way to fix it? I use the XBone controller.

That's a super easy fix. Go to steam's controller settings, you can do pretty much anything with a controller through steam. In your game library there is also a controller icon on the game's page, check that too.

Its one way but then button prompts mix me up :emofdr:

Anyways mouse and keyboard is pretty good, but playing on the Deck will be mixy when i have time to try it.

A official method would be best, but i guess it will not happen.

You can modify what 'Select' and 'Back' are in the key configuration in the settings among other stuff, for Keyboard, controller and such. Does that do it, or is it something that's more hardcoded above all the key configurations?

Just swap the A and B buttons until every button icon has white text and no red/yellow text on the button icons (swap confirm/back,take picture, remove blueprint). I suggest remapping the confirm/back keys with the mouse because it temporarily applies(before leaving and confirming it) while changing buttons, which can cause you to exit the remap screen.

As mentioned here. you dont even need to go in to the steam controller configuration, you can make all changes in-game.

The issue is, this is how the first one played on PS4. I got confused when switching to Dragon Quest Builders 2... and now I get confused again, lol.

One bit problem if you switch your buttons is, X is supposed to be attack and A jump. So if you flip A and B... you need to flip X for attack as well.

This was only the defoult layout for the Japanese version of the game, EU and US had another button layout.

If you want to make this game control more like dqb2 you also need to swap the X and Y actions too

It is possible they flipped the A and B buttons again, for accept and cancel, the thing I remember is square was attack and X jump, unlike in DQB2.
Going back to DQB2 I had some issues on Steam with my controller, lol.

I just changed the button configs from the game's option. A to accept, B to cancel. I kept B for interacting and A for jumping though, because it thankfully lets you assign them separately from the accept/cancel, and jump feels better on A.

I switched them, then left the conflicts there. So far the only time it's a "problem" is when I want to cancel a build with a schematic (forget what the game calls it). But I just click cancel with my mouse.
