So it wasn't my imagination. This has been way easier than I remember but I haven't played the game since it came out what like 8 years ago. So wasn't sure. I think that big chest is also new.
Because one of the things I remember in the game was the struggle to balance what you needed but also having enough space to carry new things back to base. Now you don't even have to bother. Which is a nice quality of life, but also negates 99% of the challenge of the game. I have thousands of building blocks on me at all times. I could dismantle the entire castle in one go without ever leaving instead of needing to make tons of trips. It's odd.
Breakable weapons would be welcome, I have way too many weapon mats laying around at all times in this version.
