ShaderFX shaders to Unity
Hello , do anyone know how can i import my shaderFX material to unity? or atleast how to export shaderFX from maya LT? I can't see anything about it in autodesk's website or autodesk's youtube tutorial videos about this and it is very annoying because i create cool things in maya LT but can't use them in Unity so what is the point of this software ? rather than it is just a lite version of Maya? Game exporter or the "send to unity" feature is pointless if we can't send everything properly to unity right?

In the case of Unity, ShaderFX is more of a visualization tool inside of Maya and Maya LT at the moment. You can export HLSL, GLSL, and CGFX shaders, which most game engines use. Unfortunately, Unity doesn't. It uses Shader Lab. HLSL and GLSL shaders can be embedded inside of a Unity shader, but it requires knowledge of Unity shader writing to be able to do that.

FYI, to export HLSL/GLSL/CGFX, you'll find that option on the Material node of a ShaderFX shader. Scroll down to the bottom of that node in the attribuate editor. You'll see a place to specify which shader language and the file name/location, as well as a button to save to disk.
