The sound is still clear though.
In-game volume is 100%, Windows volume mixer volume is 100%, and I have to crank my speakers to obscene levels just to hear the game clearly. Whenever I get a sound effect from Windows or Steam, it's deafeningly loud due to having the speakers cranked.
I'm using onboard sound on an Asus motherboard, latest drivers, all Windows updates installed, etc. Watch Dogs is the only game I have this issue with.
Oh, and I've tried with 3.5mm audio out, optical out, and HDMI out via my AMD video card. Same in all cases, extremely low volume.
I use a normaliser to keep audio levels at normal.
My Soundcard is a X-FI but you can give a look on your audio driver too -> Go to Control Panel | Sound | Playback | Properties | Enhancements and turn on Loudness Equalization.
Thanks for the tip, but that didn't help.
That makes everything in Windows louder. While the game is also louder, it is still much quieter than Windows, Steam, and everything else.
Why is this not patched yet? I don't like owning ridiculously broken software.
