No sound in Watch Dogs

I know there have been many people to complain about this already, but I have nowhere else to go.

I have a Laptop, and I like to connect it to my TV via an HDMI cable.

Watch Dogs refuses to play sound in Fullscreen through the HDMI. Well, it plays sound... but the sound is so low, that setting my TVs volume to 100 just barely allows me to hear phone calls and gunshots, nothing else. Sound works perfectly in Borderless mode, but I set it to a lower resolution than my TV/Laptop so I can have a smooth framerate, so I can see the edges of my desktop screen.

I have been on countless forums on Steam, and Ubisoft's support forum specifically for Watch Dogs, but Evey solution that was suggested didn't help.

-My drivers are all updated.
-I have a brand new HDMI cable, but the old one doesn't help this either.
-I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game.
-This is the only game I have that does this, not even the other Ubisoft games I own do this.

have you found a solution? I have also searched off the internet.
Everything worked fine before, now I wanted to fire it up after half a year of not playing and it doesn't play any audio!
It plays music and SFX fine in the main menu but once I go into the game it just stops. Drivers up-to-date, files verified, default device is set to the right one, set the audio device SPECIFICALLYFOR WATCH DOGS to the right one, NOTHING...

It worked fine before...

I am having the same issue. Has this not been fixed yet? Sound when starts then when starting game no sound or it's very very very low.

It is necessary to switch the sound to stereo, it helped me. It is necessary to go into the sound in the control panel, and either turn on the stereo mixer and make it the main device, or (If the stereo mixer is absent as a separate device) we are looking for a type of audio output device that supports stereo. The "Configure" button should be available at the bottom left, click. Select stereo, next, next, and done. Bam, the sound appeared! It helped me.

sound works but is pretty quiet on my laptop so i just plug it in through my speaker/audio jack. havent tried tv/casting yet....but, sound works regardless its just low.

yes it works you have to disable any surround sound and put stereo mode any 24-bit works
