No sound when playing the game? Try these!
Do you launch the game and there's no sound? Or do you hear the sound in the main menu but not further? Try one of these solutions, listed in order of what you should try first:

Is your audio device correctly plugged/set up?

As simple as it sounds, it might actually be an issue. Watch_Dogs works ONLY on audio 24 bits compatible devices, so if your audio is in 16 bits it won't work (you might hear the audio in the menu but that's about it). To see if your audio is in 24 bits you need to:

Right click on audio > Playback
Or window + r and type in "mmsys.cpl"

Click on the audio device you're currently using, go to "Properties"

Click the "Advanced" tab.
Here you should see a dropdown box with plenty of options. If you see a "24 bits, ******hz", then choose this.

Launch the game again.

Is the dropdown box greyed out or you only have access to 16 bits? Then:

Plug your audio device into another port, it might be that the audio port you're on is set to 16 bits.
> If you're using a wireless headset, try switching to wired headphones.

If your headset is plugged in via USB, try plugging it into the 1/8 jack.

Launch the game again.

Restart your computer/game

Your problem might just be a one time thing, to this the suggestion is to restart your game then restart your computer if the issue persists.
Verify files integrity

Or re-install the game. If you got the game on steam, then:

Go to "Manage" > Properties > Local Files

Either delete all files then re-install them or click on "Verify integrity of game files"

Launch the game again.

Make sure you have to correct API installed

You can install/update DirectX by going to this official Microsoft link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

Make sure your audio driver is up to date

To do this:

Go to windows Start > Search> " Windows Update settings"

Click the "Check for updates"

Download any updates if there are any.

Alternatively you could also

Right click the window start then go to "Device Manager"

Right click on your audio device once you have found it

Click on "Update Driver" > Search automatically for drivers
