Game stuck after opening sequence

I had issues but this is the first time I encountered that the games stuck at where you need to press any keys to start and black screen after that? Any fixes to that? I tried running as administrator and compatibility, also in full and windowed mode. No avail.

I had the same problem so I tried something that has worked before when I get just a black screen. Go to your desktop while you have the black screen running. Right click on the image of the black screen which should be at the bottom next to the Steam image and up pops a box with the options to close window, pin to task bar and the third option should be the name of the game itself. If you click on the Watch Dogs title the black screen should change to the game screen and the game should then be available to play.
This worked for me on Watch Dogs and a few other games when all I got was the black screen. Hope it works for you.
