Are you running it off the motherboard monitor port?
Of course not lol. I didn't spend $2500 on my GPU to not use it!
I finished the game on 4k on a 6600xt, with 5600. Not sure why yours is running poorly.
Finishing the game doesn't speak to how it performed. Based on all of the other complaints I found when searching for solutions to this issue stuttering is very common in this game. There are posts all over the web about how much the game stutters.
It's not a frame rate issue most of the time, it's a stutter which implies there is some issue of streaming data in or shader compilation or something like that.
If you search this board for the term stutter you will found a whole bunch of people with the same issue
Sure, but I'm telling you my experience.
Like I said, finished the game a month ago, 4k on a 6600xt, and I never experienced anything that bad. Nothing game breaking, that's for certain. Might be an Nvidia issue.
Like I said it's not necessarily a frame rate issue, it's a stuttering issue. And there is no way you are always at 60fps with that video card. Post a video driving around the city if you want to prove it, but considering I have a 4090 and it drops to 40fps at times it's just not possible.
A lot of people claim their game is running perfectly but as you dig in more it's obvious that it's just their perception. I have the frame rate counter on at all times and there just isn't any way that a 4090 would drop to 40fps while a 3080 wouldn't.
Are you using an m.2 drive?
Yeah I am.

Sorry I did not mean to imply you were lying. I've just seen this kind of discussion many times before and lots of the time when you dig into it you find that people who say their game is running perfectly just have a different tolerance for issues and simply aren't noticing them.
That being said it's clear from your video that yours is running a lot better than mine is. I'm going to try again later and copy your exact settings to see if I can pinpoint where the problem is.
I really appreciate you actually taking a video, thank you very much for going out of your way to do that.
It's weird, I tried copying your settings and I even played at 1440p because I didn't feel like hooking up to my TV and I still get the stutters. At 1440p without v-sync on I average 200 FPS and even when it's running at 200fps there are small hitches on a pretty regular basis.
If I put vsync on and limit it to 60 I still get them. They seem better than when I first played but it's still enough to be annoying. I wonder if it has something to do with assets/shaders needing to be cached and if I play more they will go away, but I'm not sure.
Anyways, thanks for the help, it does seem to be something with my specific setup but I'm not sure I have to patience to keep trying to figure it out.
How is your internet connection? The game is always online, so a ♥♥♥♥ internet connection could also cause it to stutter if people enter the game.
