Was Aiden Pearce a hero?

Sept 23rd is when season pass holders get the new T-Bone download. Nice write up about the DLC. Sounds like playing as T-bone is going to be a nice change of pace.

As far as Aiden goes, he was barely a hero. I'd say more of a handsome bad boy that had morals when it came to women/his sister/nephew.

Yes, he was a hero. Or not. It depends on your playstyle. Shooting civilians ain't really heroic.

As far as the story goes, I think he was a hero. He punished bad guys like Batman.

Exactly. Even if he wasn't hell bent on getting revenge for his niece, his ex-partner would have dragged him somehow into another job.

The whole story is about Aiden deciding to stop being a smart gangster and becoming something else. Not exactly a hero maybe but someone who wants to try and clean up some of the s h i t around him. What He says at then end (if you chose a certain option) about sums it up. Thats how I played it anyway. Dunno what happens if you decide to go for public enemy number one.

Aiden isn't a hero, he's just an experienced hacker that is getting back at the people who murdered, supposedly, his niece because of a botched up hack attempt on a high class facility. His main problem is that he hasn't come to the realization that there are a lot of people that will or are going to die in the process of finding revenge.

Side note is that you can become a vigilante, code named "The Fox", which very few refer to Aiden as on the streets, if you prevent crime and death. Its a part of the main story that wasn't well developed, as many like it aren't, but hopefully, when Watch_Dog 2 comes out, he will have a better story that actually fits the aspect of his character.

Maybe they'll give him a second chance as he states in the ending. I did go the vigilante route myself, and it seemed like a letdown at the end since everyone he knew and loved had left him. I wonder if Nicky and Jacks would come back in the sequel if Aieden has become a changed man.

Yea you do have a point. And it really sucks because neither Jacks or Lena's background was ever introduced. Like why was Aiden the "man" in their lives and whatever made Aiden and Nicky's bond so strong that he was always there for her.

There are still a lot of plots in the game that are just pieced together. Like seriously, they should have a stand alone for Clara, in how she became a hacker, before she even met Aiden or knew about Lena's death. Or how she fell under Lucky Quinn's influence and worked for him.

See, there are a lot of things that they could do with Watch Dogs, they just have to be creative enough to piece everything together. I still think that Clara didn't have to die, but oh well... She did have character for something bigger.

Oh and don't forget the chinese guy.. (That sounded racist...) I would also like to know more of his background and how he came to be.

Aiden does have some bakground in the logs which you can listen to(some of which hints at why he and his sister are close(other than being Irish. They do tend to have very strong family ties in general). some Clara's story is revealed in both the plot and logs you can listen to from CTOS breaches and QR codes. I agree clara should not have died. what is it with ubisoft and women?? I got a feeling that our oriental friend will back. AFter all business is business

From reading Nicky and Aiden's story on the wiki online, it seems they were brought over at a young age from Ireland, they're roughly 6 years apart so maybe Aiden was always a big brother protector to her. I also take it that Nicky is divorced and probably went back to her maiden name and the kids followed suit. Maybe she doesn't have a boyfriend because they don't want the drama of big brother Aiden.

Also from the conversation between Aiden and Clara, Aiden seems to have women come onto him but don't stick around because of his criminal background. Clara sounded like she had a crush on Aiden during their time together. Didn't seem like he had any feelings for her other than a good friendship.

I have to say that Clara did flirt with Aiden openly, both when he met her in the underpass and when she was about to leave the bunker, she wanted him to "ask" her to stay in another way. But I remember when T-bone was swooning Clara and she started gauking over him, he intervened into the conversation and seemed jealous lol
