Pre-Download available?

i know steam has done this with quite a few games; im not sure if uplay has done it or not.
but will there be a pre-download option for watch dogs pre-release day? any ideas?
i would rather not spend 12 hours installing watchdogs at midnight with anticipation killing me to play.
unfortunately im lmited to 1.5 mb/s max, of which steam and their lovely servers only provide 10% download speed; so im stuck at a measly 150 kb/s download for any and all games.
pre-download yay or nay?

There will most likely be a pre-download. Can't say with 100% certainty, but i'd be really surprised if there wasn't a pre-download of at least 1 day prior to release.

But Uplay loves to download games you've already downloaded on Steam again on Uplay... (Or at least check if every single line fits?!)

uplay doesnt actaully do that if you know what youre doing, and

i use uplay alot when playing ubi games, never has it done that to me (Had me redownload the game)..its like he said, you don't know what you are doing in the first place.

What can you do wrong when you just get the game, start uplay, give the code in and the game just downloads again?!

It does download PATCHES but not the full game. If it is downloading the whole game over its a ID-10-T error on the users part...

I'm hoping for a pre-load on next weekend.
I'm also limited to 500-600 kb/s on Steam downloading, but still 20GB will take one full night.

exacly thats my problem, its goign to take me a good 17 hours to install just a 20GB game. let alone if watchdogs is bigger than 20gb im screwed.
or ill just go jack my universitys internet(max 105 mb/s) (10.5 mb/s on steam downloads) on my macbook pro on my widnows partition

i also have a slow downloading speed. but I have pre orded the DVD version that goes much faster. but it isn´t on steam:(

Slow connection = Physical.
Fast connection = Digital.

Dunno how uplay does things, but if you know someone with fast connection who has also preordered on Steam, maybe ask if they could save the files on a pendrive, so you can copy them over.

you can never be sure until it happens, but with most Ubi games preloading is enabled about 2-3 days before.
