If you buy watchdogs on steam does it require Uplay?

They didn't make South Park need Uplay, so who's to say they can't do the same with WatchDogs? :U

As Darn said, it's been confirmed by Ubisoft that uPlay is only going to be needed to activate the game, then you can run Watch_Dogs without it.

it will be like ghost recon phantoms you install it through steam and play it through steam you just need your Uplay Login o play game when you start it up

THQ was originally going to publish South Park, so the game wasn't developed with UPlay in mind. Ubisoft acquired the rights to publish the game after THQ went bankrupt. That's why South Park is the exception to the rule.

i prefer to keep it on one platform or atleast have most of the shortcuts on one platform, but i would have no problem with running it solely on uplay, (already have Trails evolution gold on there)

If you're going to let a simple thing like Uplay determine whether or not you were going to buy the game, then chances are you weren't going to buy the game. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ if it launched Steam>uPlay>Origin>connected through Blizzard DII servers>and had the worst DRM in the world. I'd still buy it.
