Watchdogs- Graphics downgrade?
Watch dog's E3 trailer looked really nice, the environment, lighting, and everything was perfect. The graphics just blew my mind away. But many people have said that the Ubisoft has been putting less effort into graphics, there's a lot of videos on the graphics downgrade. On E3, they used a computer with two GTX 675 video cards in it to get the graphics result. Does this mean we, also, need to install two GTX 675 video cards into our computer, just to get the same results as what we saw in the E3 trailer?

Watch the videos of the latest PC footage ( mainly the Nvidia one )

There is no downgrade on PC. It's only consoles.

What Vit said. I would assume all the people complaining about the game's so-called "downgrade" are the people on consoles, they expect a game like Watch Dogs to look like that on their consoles? No way. The new consoles have nice stuff in them, but they're not going to have the grunt and speed of a well-tuned PC.

Even if you compared the horribly compressed YT videos of the game in 2012, and then the one in 2014, they look nearly identical for the PC. As for comparisons on console, there is a difference, but only minor.

To answer your question on the GTX 680's (I heard that's what was used in 2012). I don't think people are going to need two 680's to run the game on high/ultra. I would think a single 680 or even 670 should work okay. And obviously, if you have a 700 series card and above, running this game a high/ultra shouldn't be much of a problem. Also, take into account drivers, new ones may come out and increase performance in WD. Same with actual patches in the game.

We will have to wait and see. Since the engine in Watch Dogs was specifically built and designed to run the game, it should have good performance.

The recent trailers are from the PS4 version, the original PC footage is still accurate.

Ultra requirement stated a 780 is needed with an i7 4770k

I guess we'll see then. I'm not too worried. I've got myself a GTX 770 SC and i7 3770. Pretty close, as the 770 is one under the 780, and the 3770 is what, one under the 4770?

Well, the GPU's processing power is one thing.. also the VRAM as well. IINM 770 only comes with 2GB VRAM but the 780 comes with 3GB VRAM.

As long as your processor has 4 logical cores and 4 threads, you should be fine in this area.

We don't know yet if the ultra requirement spec is for the game to run at 1440p @ 120 fps or 1080p @ 60 fps so until we get a benchmark, there's no solid ground to base all these assumptions on

I made a message specifically for people who complain about the graphics.

I'm really sick and tired of this crap complaint people keep pissing and moaning about.

The only downgrade is now on consoles. This game was developed primarily on the PC. Consoles will be getting the port this time around.
Dellers 2014 年 5 月 8 日 上午 4:49
The downgrade never happened. There has been a PC version from day one, and there have been console versions for a while. As far as I can tell there has been no noticable graphical upgrade or downgrade within any single version of the game.
