So explain how Steam is going to get a preload of something UBISOFT didn't make or allow..?
So Ubisoft has to do this as well. Valve can get Ubi games days earlier. And they can seperate the game leaving the most part of game for people to pre load. And if Ubi allows Valve or they have agreement on this. Steam certainly can have preload option for people who pre ordered the game. This is how steam works.
uplay is another thing. Since preload allows people to download part of compiled game data, there is a chance that hackers could decompile the data and start to crack. So, maybe this is why Ubisoft doesn't allow preload on uplay. But games are already on their servers. Ubi just doens't like to do this.
That is why people who bought Ubi games like AC4, AC3, Splintercell blacklist on steam could play them as soon as games were released, but people who got them on uplay can only started to download as soon as they were rleased.
