I have GT 650m sli
Don't know about the performance of the mobile GPUs, but I would give HABO+ High a try. If it's not smooth enough, you should switch back to MHBAO, since it looks better than HBAO+ low in my opinion.
Mobo: Asus P9X79 Pro, Sata III, PCI-E 3.0
CPU: Intel i7 4930K 3.2 Ghz LGA 2011
RAM: 16Gb Corsair Vengence 1866Mhz DDR3
VGA: EVGA GTX 780 Ti "Classified Edition" 2 x SLI
The long and short of it was my system with ambient occlusion maxed with ultra settings kicked my system's butt. Once I turned down the settings two notches the game suddenly stopped stuttering and the lag fest went away. And the funny thing is that I didn't see any difference in visual quality.
It reminded me of the problems of using Physx maxed out in Borderlands 2.
HABO+ High results in 5 fps drop compared to MHBAO for my laptop
Well, if you're above 40fps, this should be fine.
Old thread I know but I spotted it when searching for something and it annoyed me XD
MHBAO and HBAO+ are not anti-aliasing, They are different forms of ambient occlusion.
