Turn off mouse acceleration?
So i've noticed that there's some really annoying mouse acceleration in the game. Any way to turn it off or do we have to wait for a patch that may or may not add an option for it?

I'm not talking about mouse smoothing since i turned it off and nothing changed.

IMPORTANT: I reccomend you create a back up of the .XML just in case.

Go to: documents/my games/Watch_Dogs

Open the folders till you reach a single .XML file called GamerProfile.

Right click on the file and select: Open with: Notepad

Once opened look for "smoothness" (using control F helps)

Change the data value from 1 to 0

Save your changes.

DONE! Mouse acceleration should now be disabled completely!

try play with a controler-pad. if that doesnt satisfy you either, go contact UBIsoft Support Team and open a complaint-ticket. Alan.

Smoothing is off by default and it has nothing to do with Acceleration

Exactly! I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the horrible acceleration, not the smoothing. I guess there isn't?

agreed, Needs to be fixed. What really pisses me off is how this "fix" is circulating the internet as if it actully works.

Some of you probably also need the Windows 8.1 gaming mouse fix. I ran into this issue on a machine I built recently.

To remove mouse acceleration in Watch Dogs, exit the game and go to – C:\Users\your username\Documents\My Games\Watch_Dogs\folder and look for ‘GamerProfile.xml’.

Open GamerProfile with a text editor and set ‘Sensitivity’ from 0 to 1. Set ‘UseMouseSmooth from 1 to 0. Set ‘Smoothness from 1 to 0. Setting these values like this should remove the mouse acceleration from the game.

Now i can use the mouse in the menu's

I can confirm that this doesn't do anything.

THANK YOU! I was trying to get a retail (Uplay) copy of the game working in wine and was having an odd issue with my Corsair mouse that tends to crop up in other Ubisoft games and is related to acceleration. Basically whenever moving the mouse the framerate would drop to unplayable levels but the game would run fine when leaving it alone. This fixed the issue for me and I'm really hoping it'll also solve the problem for some other Ubisoft games I've been having similar issues with.

It helped, but acceleration is still there.
