Adaptive V-Sync?
I need V-sync but I hate it being capped at 30fps, I was able to force adaptive on AC4 how would I do so with Watch Dogs? I know my average FPS should be about 40 or so.

AMD or nVidia?

if nVidia, go to control panel (right click on desktop, go to nVidia control panel) > Global settings > all the way at the bottom you'll see vsync > Adaptive vsync.

How do you force 30fps or is that a nVidia thing? I have AMD and v-sync 1 on but it caps at 60 which I dont hit very often.
P.S. Im also forced into the v-sync life :(

wel the v sync options in the menu let you lock the fps to 30 or 60, 60 fps is frame 1 and 30 fps is frame 2 i believe. That being said I cannot find a happy medium for my setup with this game. Im usually at 60-70 fps but I will drop to the 40's sometimes, its either screen tearing or horrible stuttering and I hate it. If I lower the settings to get more fps my gtx 690 just downclocks itself so i still get around 60fps >.<

I would assume you can force it through the control panel, don't know how it works on AMD but what Jimmy posted is how you do it on nvidia.

I had the same issue too, vsync in watch dogs seemed to lack triple buffering and the 30-60 fps spikes was ruining the experience for me. It didn't help with controller response either!

I tried everything - forcing nvcp vsync, radeonpro, rivatuner statistic fps limiter and nothing worked so I eventually settled for adaptive vsync on in the nvcp and vsync off in the game. It wasn't until I read a post (can't remember where), the guy said switching to borderless mode in the display options and then switching back to fullscreen restores triple buffering in the game! I tried it and it worked, has been working flawlessly everytime?!

Performance is now a variable 60 fps with lows of around 45 fps, even while driving around and combined with the 337.88 drivers, the disable file check command, I haven't really experienced any stuttering. Not only that but I've found that it also restores proper pc controller response if you happen to use a 360 controller.

This is all with ultra settings at 1080p plus smaa on an i7 3770, gtx 780 and 16gb ram played on a tv.

I haven't gone far at all, just messing around in the open-world after the opening as I still need to finish off wolfenstein but give it a go it, hopefully it may work for you too. I can't say if it will stop working but let's just hope it continues to as people make more progress in the game.

Same issue on Radeon card. In AC Black Flag I forced dynamic v sync witch tripple bufferin in RadeonPro profile, unfotunately RadeonPro is not working with Watch Dgos :\
