Watch Dogs Requires Directx 11 Error

I just downloaded watch dogs, and after overcoming the vista service pack 1 error (fixed by setting compatibility in the exe file to windows 7), i have encountered a new error.
Watch dogs stops before starting up with the message "WATCH_DOGS requires that your graphics hardware be compatible with DirectX 11, and have the DirectX 11 runtime installed."
I have windows 7, 8GB of RAM, i7-2820QM, and both intel integrated graphics and an nvidia 555M graphics card. I set the game to run on the the nvidia card, and updated the drivers but i keep getting the message. Any advice?

same. I fixed by following these steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxoMF_BLcWg&feature=youtu.be. fair warning. even after this fix the game lags so much i cant even click on the start menu. It seems this problem is caused by your graphics card not support directx 11.2

yeah i tried that fix, and it had about 0.5 Frames per second. My CPU temps werent about 80, so thats kind of wierd.

Jesus ♥♥♥♥ guys, read the whole text, it's not that hard. OP clearly said that he has BOTH intel integrated GPU AND Nvidia 555M GPU.

To the OP; Try to install stable GPU drivers. I have a laptop with almost exact specs and it works for me on Nvidia drivers 296.10.

Guys OP here. The problem was indeed the computer itself. I did some research and tested a newer computer, and the 555M is not good enough to play watch dogs on any resolution or LoD. I believe the minimum to run watch dogs mobile on 1920x1080 is a 760M. The 860M is probably the best bang for buck though, given its incredible power consumption efficiency. Anyway, you can approximate any GPU or CPU on watchdogs on gamedebate.com and some GPU have registered fps on watch dogs at notebookcheck.com.

uhm..maybe cause he's right? your video card(s) are not gaming cards. You need to spend some cash. don't post a question if your not ready to hear bad news.

sorry my english so damn noob..
i have same problem with u guys,but i can fix it..
just update your windows at "windows update"
don't update "security update"
and then install directX 11

if your windows is the latest product and then u can install directX 11...
u can play watchdogs now :)
