Dear Ubisoft, Uplay sucks and everybody hates it.
Well almost everybody, no matter how bad something is there will always be someone who either likes it or will damage control for it.

Dear Ubisoft, I shouldn't need half a gig of ram to run a third party DRM on top of Steam. Uplay serves no legitimate purpose, it doesn't even make sense, why do you force everyone to use it what do you gain out of it?

Why Ubisoft? Why do you make such great games then force us to run Uplay which you know everyone hates? And what's with the stupid complicated Day 1 DLC "Collectors Edition" crap? Stop it Ubisoft!

"videos like these do nothing"

Do you really think that if everyone; not just a vocal 20 or 50 but everyone was on here complaining, making videos and not buying uplay games, that they would carry on forcing it? Ofcourse they wouldn't, it's your attitude that causes the status quo we currently have.

I'm not fussed, I don't feel I'm missing out on anything by refusing to buy any games that force Uplay, it's not like I would buy watch dogs even if it didn't force Uplay. It looks like a very mediocre game.

I have had uPlay installed since i bought Anno 2070 a few years ago. I find it to be acceptable, Which is saying something, Considering im the type of person who tracks weird connections back through servers to find the source and see if its legit. It only runs when playing the specified game. Uplay is little more then a launcher. When you close it, all processes and connections end. Its pretty much the same as all MMO launchers and better then some. While yes its a tad annoying, it is not malicious and by far not as bad the other services mentioned. and honestly it is worth the 10 seconds of extra time to play Ubisoft games, if you hate uplay so much then get the game on the xbox.

I love how uplay achievements can be used to get additional game items and content. It was awesome in FC3, so yes I love uplay and I saved $23 by NOT buying from steam

People who are disatisfied with having half a gig of ram supporting some useless extra layer of bloat DRM that serves no purpose other than to lag performance are probably less likely to be active on the forums for a game that hasn't come out yet. People who have already pre-ordered and are already invested are more likely to be here now. Wait until after launch :spazhorror:

There is nothing Uplay does that Uplay is necessary for.

Steam is the bloat drm this time, the game is native to uplay
