This is without maldo textures right? guessing so based on filesize.
I dont like the intense fog in daytime so im glad you fixed that too.
Did you remove DoF completely or just make it less? i like DoF but not really strong like it is in the mod originally it is just really strong and i think if it was weaker it would be a better balance.
I don't use DOF really at all. It's a nice effect for screenshots but I find it annoying during gameplay so I just switch it off in graphic settings. I left the TWv1.0 settings as otherwise the camera options are really good. Replacing them for another alternative with less or more DOF is pretty easy though, I can explain how to for anyone who's interested.
I use Ultra for everything other than Shadows. Ultra Shadows look great, but tank performance way too much. They still look really good on high and the performance increase is worth it.
let me ask you something about maldo textures. are they actually better than vanilla ultra textures or just meant for people with performance issues that still want the good looking textures? as in is it more of a fix for certain scenarios or an actual improvement across the board? I have a 780 6gb EVGA SC card and havent had any performance issues really at all. no stuttering at all that i can tell. even when the fps drops 1-10 frames i dont see any tearing or slowdown whic h is suprising cause i did on my 580 and i didnt expect the 780 to be so good but hey its not a complaint lol. just curious if i need maldos or if i am better off with vanilla ultra
Yeah I forgot to mention, other than the HD rock textures TheWorse mentioned I didn't use Maldo's textures. They're good if you have performance issues and do replace many low-res textures with HD ones, but the anti-aliasing issue doesn't do it for me. Other than the included textures from TheWorse I use vanilla.
Sure, changing these things isn't too hard at all. For the DOF you want to download TWv0.8 that has the WD config tool.
Inside the Data folder for the tool go to the Base Mod folder and you'll see z_DOF_CAMERAS with several folders listed inside it with the camera options (based on Camera and DOF option).
Now unzip my Patch.fat file using the gibbed tools (found here -> svn.gib.me/builds/disrupt/?C=M;O=D ) Just click and drag the patch.fat file onto the Gibbed.Disrupt.unpack.exe and it'll say "Open with Gibbed.Disrupt.unpack.exe", release the mouse and the tool will run. It'll create a patch_unpacked folder in your data64 folder (or where you have the patch files located).
Now just copy the cameracontext.lib file from the folder you picked earlier (not the whole folder but the file inside it) into the patch_unpack\generated\databases\generic folder.
To rezip the patch file rename the patch_unpack folder to just patch, and now click and drag it onto the Gibbed.Disrupt.pack.exe just like earlier. The tool will run and repack the patch file, overwriting the original with the changes you made.
That'll do it for changing DOF, not too hard at all.
I'm not sure, I have Win7. I do remember downloading a version from TheWorse though that had versions for Win7, Win8, and Win8.1 but I cant find the link. I still have it (at home) so I'll take a look and combine it with my preset for you guys this evening.
Close the game AND uplay
Set VSync="1" AND RefreshRate="120" in C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Watch_Dogs\***\GamerProfile.xml
save the file and right click -> properties> enable read only
now the game enables vsync only if the framerate is 60fps or above (like adaptive vsync)
