Lost Everything due to failed sync of cloud saves

damn it uplay i lost everything for watchdogs yesterday cause i cant sync my save data. i thought that uplay saved it on my hard disk but everthing was on the cloud. is there a way to access or do i have to restart? i didnt do much of the story but i got many things from hacking.

I had the same issue what I did was I deleted the entire Uplay folder and launcher then I validated my game files which then made it restore.

What Uplay folder? Do you mean uninstall Uplay? I just built a new PC, and am trying to get my save to synch for HAWX 2, but I get the error OP mentions.

Turn off that cloud and never turn it back on again, or else this WILL happen again.

@Airjarhead: You've probably lost all your progress, sorry to say.
Uplay cloud is a disaster waiting to happen for anyone who leaves it on. It may be fine today, tomorrow, next week, next month... but sooner or later it's going to screw you.

since it tried to screw up my far cry 3, far cry 4 and blacklist as well

this just happened to me and i am beyond mad right now. i had a lil bit of the first act done but i had hella money and clothes and now i have to restart :c

lol why revive ths old thread?
uplay cloud has no problem for me for months, completed watch dogs half a year ago
far cry 3 and 4 no issues

but if you dont plan to change computers for some time, dont bother with uplay cloud

money is so easy in watchdogs if u get the right skills, you can earn so much in 10 mins. act 1 is pretty easy and is quite short compared to the other acts, but i can understand your fustration. not try to verify your steam game files and see if it works. it worked for me last time

I remember having a similar issue with ac3 and fixing it by deleting a certain file and then repairing the game. Don't remember which file though
