I’m using a controller but there’s no menu to see the controller mapping. Where can I find this information?

How do you save in this game? I’ve started a new game a number of times. But it never saves after the initial fight or healing in the cave. Would be nice if there was auto saving every 5 minutes or so. Or a quicksave feature.
