Might & Magic VI

"Please insert disc 2 to continue"
A little message box pops up every time I try to launch the game. I checked to make sure that the game files were not corrupt in Steam and everything seems to check out.

Anybody else, getting this error?

I have the same problem, please let me know if you find solution for this. BTW Do you have optical drive in your computer? I do not, so I guess the game expect optical drive to be present and if it cant find it, it will show this message and close.

To be honest, I got my Steam copy of MM6 because I purchased MMX. I already owned a GOG.com version of the game, so I just went back to that and the problem was solved. Not sure if that answer works for you, but if you can't play this version on Steam and really want to play it, it comes in the "MM complete pack" which contains MM 1-6 for $9.99 U.S. (not sure how much if you live in other parts of the globe).

make a save game copy first

try first delete local content ..

make sure you dont have old disk version installed

run ccleaner to remove old registration of mm6 if such is there after the uninstall

try reinstall mm VI with or without administrator added to steam.exe if this allso could be that problem...
i run it fine on my win7 64bit, i just tryed for fun the unofficial patch so i could double run faster
but game work fine even without unofficial patch...

Thanks for the help, but I never had disk version of the game on this PC (haven't had my disk since I lost it in a move years ago) I uninstalled, reinstalled, verified my cache, I regularly run ccleaner to clean my PC.
