MM7 stating tips
Hi Thanks for all the help in previous threads. Got some more questions...:)

What should my new starting party be?
- In MM6, I had: Paladin, Archer, Cleric, and Druid.
- In MM7: Paladin, Archer, Cleric, and Sorceror.

I WANT lots of Lloyd's Beacons. I WORRY about Disamring Traps. Heard that Druid wasn't as good in MM7, so I switched to a Sorceror. Also, I'll probably be a good party.

I liked the MM6 party:
Paladins over Knights, I think.
Archers are cool for Super Bows and Spells.
Clerics. Healing/ mor spells.
Sorcerors. Lots of spells, especially Lloyd's Beacon.
Any Suggestions to change? Thanks!

Yes and you can also search on "Flamestryke" who put together an excellent MM 7 (and MM8 and W8) page before she died. Erika is gone now but zimlab, I believe, captured her pages to preserve them for all of us and I am sure Incognito's reference is a good one as well. Most of the info would be cheating... if that matters, but the table of who can GM in what is relevant for determining which characters to use for the various skills.

I will admit that I actually have the original games purchased when they came out and game manuals which, for MM 6-8 contain a table of which characters can GM each skill. The web sigits referenced also have such a table.

For things like Perception, Merchant, Repair, Identify Item and Alchemy I only have one in the party learn the skill to the highest level they can while the other characters all leave that skill at exactly 1 (except Perception sometimes just for protection against exploding chests when I accidently let the wrong character touch (try to open) the chest.

Generally I buy the lute for 500, so you are one up on me there. Money is short near the beginning of the game, with so many spell books and training levels to buy.

Unless you will not kill the dragon in emerald... In my search, lets say reloads for artifact (hands of master) i got 13 nice items and 26.000 gold in emerald.

Her name on the forum most of us attended was Lana... something, as you said. Her real name was Erika, I suppose it does not hurt to not keep that private now. She was a publisher in addition to enthusiast. Her passing was very sad. I was working on submitting a write up on the Wizardry 8 Bloodlusty Bard (a bard specializing in the use of the sword, "Bloodlust"), in support of a magic damage party (a party that primarily takes out enemies with magic damage. The play/work focused on specialist casters who become incredibly powerful in magic toward the end of the game if developed well. It was a concept a few of us players worked that played very differently than the "kill one at a time" might and range type parties that are, by far, the most common.. Life interfered and I couldn't complete what I was working on in time and then she got sick... she was an incredible pioneer and discerning fan of quality games. Her hard work improved gameplay of the games she covered for tens of thousands of players.

Her family, after expressing their love for the friendship and love we all gave to her, had to eventually take down the Flamestryke website, but others, including zimlab, were able to copy her pages so that info is still available to players.
