Tartarus Engine Cascade Preset Math
I got curious and wanted to see how the math played out at different layers of the cascade; according to the numbers the unnamed technician (lets call him Idiot) gives us. In doing so I realized just how insanely overkill this preset is. "After multiple layers, one second on Earth will translate to years in out simulation.", is the understatement of the millennia.

As explained by Idiot, there's a 1.2x factor of time dilation that increases exponentially with each layer. As is the nature of exponentials, this will quickly get out of hand.
1st layer = 1.2^1 = 1.2
2nd layer = 1.2^2 = 1.44
3rd layer = 1.2^3 = 1.728 etc...

We'll be going through this as if 1 second passed on earth
For reference:
60 seconds in a minute
3,600 seconds in an hour
86,400 seconds in a day
604,800 seconds in a week
31,536,000 seconds in a year
------------------------------------------
23rd layers surpasses 1 sec = 1 min
45th layers surpasses 1 sec = 1 hour
63rd layers surpasses 1 sec= 1 day
74th layers surpasses 1 sec = 1 week
95th layers surpasses 1 sec = 1 year
------------------------------------------
108th layer surpasses 1 sec = 1 decade
120th layer surpasses 1 sec = 1 century
133rd layer surpasses 1 sec = 1 millennia
------------------------------------------
The (estimated) age of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ universe is roughly 13.787 billion years. They surpass that, in a single Mississippi, at merely the 223rd layer; and they went on to thousands!

So, for the sake of simplicity, lets take the lower threshold of "thousands" and go with the 1,000th layer. Just how long can that be?

On the 1,000th layer, 1 (one) singular earth second will equate 4.813e71 years. I don't even know wtf that number is but I can show you that it looks like this:
481,300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
That's roughly the (estimated) age of the universe multiplied by 3.49e61

and 1.2^1,000 is the minimum , according to Idiot's dialogue. The possible maximum in thousands; 1.2^999,999 made my calculator implode.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did I ♥♥♥♥ up my math at some point? Hopefully not, but correct me if I did. :8bitheart:

Did it take that long or even for the gang to get out of the preset? I've seen a lot of people think that but I think they'd be out relatively quicker than that. I've done enough math and wrote enough for right now so I'll probably make another discussion or two with theories.

Thank ya if you read all this! :8bitheart:
and Mike, if you're reading this, 1.) Woah cool, hi. and 2.) Keep making games! :8bitheart:

Hell yes!

Imagine that the game instead of finishing and sending you to the menu.

The final scene would be repeated forever (a little more faster) and it would be mandatory to close the game manually. Id love that!

as i was thinking about it, just after finishing, this would be truly hell, truly an tartarus engine
