Yeah, the og 1998 require old windows/vr machine to run the game.

Yeah, I can't imagine they would license WA1 which is not as well regarded or known as the sequel, if they didn't also plan to do the sequel when they have established a clear partnership with Aquaplus doing Utawarerumono, Monochrome Mobius and Dungeon Travelers already.

Rance is fine, rance is actually #1 in erogamescape but i get your point. Since im not working behind the scenes I can't really comment to much as to why they keep doing VN's no one asked for but hey... At least there's someone pumping out VN's that people have been asking for ages.

White Album 1 isn't even near the top, it basically as a decently average rating on vndb while the newer Rance games are much higher

Yeah don’t get what is weird about doing the first game before the second one. Especially when the first one is much shorter and the second one is a thematic sequel because the writer loved the original.

I meant like people liked White album 2 much more than White album 1 so its kinda weird they didn't announce White album 2 with White album 1 but they probably will later.
