Can't play. Controllers don't work.

No idea if i am doing anything wrong.
I am playing on a HP reverb G2. I enter the game, my right hand shows a red pointer but i can't click on anything. Already pressed all buttons and I can't select new game or any other thing.

I don't think your doing anything wrong, but if I remember correctly its only compatible with the valve index and quest headsets.

♥♥♥♥...went through the trouble of creating and publishing a configuration for HP reverb. Hope it helps someone else

It clearly states on the store page that your hmd is not supported:

"Additional Notes: Not supporting Windows MR or HTC Vive".

Dude go to steamvr settings / openxr

and make sure open xr environment is STEAMVR

And maybe change the oculus compatibility thing

I would like the game too but unfortunately I also have an HP Reverb G2. Is there a chance that the devs will work on supporting WMR in the future?

The controls need to be mapped in the steam bindings but after that it worked fine for me

I had the same problem. I reconfigured my controllers in-game to your configuration. Use the left controller to select buttons at the beginning of the game, and set the controller choice to Oculus 2. It worked great after that.

Nice...I got to the part where I get the crossbow and I can't craft the bolts. It always activates the discipline for some reason. Gotta fiddle with the controllers again

So the giant question in my mind: Why did you buy a game that does not support your hmd and then you complain about your hmd is not supported?!

Dude ...the shop page states in big yellow lettern "XBox Controller needed"....so why the hell should anybody search for any other vr controller information on that page?

I even would not buy this game if I not found this post.

I am going to try and fiddle with it again an I'll post an update.

Most games have more people playing and someone always eventually posts a configuration. This one I wasn't so lucky xD.

Updated my configuration again and now it works. But for some reason now everytime i press left palm trigger to grab or craft bolts or anything, it also activates heightened senses

Did you manage to fix it? I'm also on HP Reverb G2, but the situation is the same as you describe. I also have a Xbox Controller, that SteamVR detects, but the game does not receive any input at all.

Just open steam VR menu, go to controller bindings, custom and select my preset.
Or try any other there.

Mine is working fine. For some reason now that I tweaked it to fix it he issue where I couldn't craft the bolts, when I press palm trigger to grab it also activates heightened senses. But it's functional. You can play the whole game.
