Stuck (SPOILERS)
Hey kids, I am completely stuck and was hoping one of you could help an old man (me). I am at the gate south of Fort Henry and it is corrupted. How do you get through? I am so clueless...

You have to get rid of the corruption before the gate will open. Ring the bell in Fort Henry then go to each of the 3 totems in turn. You'll probably be able to work it out from there.

Press X to use the noise option. On your compass at the top there will be two boxes to show you which way to go.

The 2 boxes lead me to 2 different locations not to totems. I've cleansed 2 out of the 3 totems, and am having a tough time finding the third.
I mean, is there a logical order to finding the totems? Cuz right now I'm just straffing across the map and hoping that I run into one I haven't cleaned yet.

Are you using Listen? It should lead you right to them. If you're having trouble pinpointing sound direction, make sure Listen HUD is enabled in the general options.

Thanks for the tip - I put on Listen HUD but am confused as to what it exactly does. I see squares at the right and left of my compass and I assume I am supposed to keep them lit up, but I keep going in circles.

Ok - I am really REALLY not dumb - why can't I get the hang of this.

Oh and Craig - despite my frustration, so far this game is AMAZING! I love the art style - it remindsd me of 300 and Sin City. Absolutely incredible.

Just use Listen without graphical HUD. Play in the headphones. Turn until there is no sound pan into one of your ears. When you face the sound, just move forward.

This may be part of the problem - you see I have a 5.1 surround sound speaker set. I wonder if the game's sound feature has been thrown off by my intrepid and flagrant use of expensive sound equipment.

And I still wanna know how to use the sound hud.

Try to get both squares to be the same size and opacity. That indicates you're facing the right general direction.

We've heard reports that spatialization doesn't work for some people with 5.1 setups, but others are fine. As a test, you could try switching to stereo playback to see if that helps.

I tried to get the squares both lit up but they just take me back to the fort. I know I'm doing something really stupid, I just can't figure out what :\
Could one of you very nice special people make a screen shot of where the 3 totems are on the map for me? If you do I will bake you cookies. :)
OMG THANK YOU! I was getting so frustrated - so where shall I send the cookies good sir? :)
