How to make this game work on Windows 7 Machines
Do the following and it will work.

What I did was create a shortcut to the application "startopia.exe" then added /r1280x1024x32 AFTER the "startopia.exe"

So the target file area said this - "C:\Program Files (x86)/GOG.com/StarTopia/startopia.exe" /r1280x1024x32

Hope this helps anyone else having this problem.

I'm happy to hear you did not have any trouble with your installation. Some of us have not been so lucky; I tried for almost two days to get this game working and this worked for me. I hope this will work for others looking for some guidance with this problem. I'm not sure why you would comment on this posting; when you’re not affected by the problem...
