Version 1.02?

Does this steam version include version 1.02 of the game? Or the latest?

From what I can see the version of the game that steam patches to is 1.01.

1.01b and 1.02 are semi-official/unofficial patches from what I remember.

Ah, well it'd be nice if the devs could make one last official patch to fix the slugerpartments and some other bugs that totally destroy and crash your game. :P

I always hope they will, but often with old games like Startopia the incentive isn't really there as it is difficult to get the original devs involved/expensive to get someone new acquianted with the codebase.

I hope they can. Only thing stopping me from buying the game is all the bugs I keep hearing about.

Not only that. Very often the source code has gone missing over the years. Very sad :(

Actually, I tried unofficial 1.02 with Steam. the windowed mode works fine.

Tip: If you turn off automatic updates for Startopia and THEN install the patches, they should work. The reason they normally don't is because Steam detects that the version is not the one they have on file and automatically assume it must need an update.

I havent run into any bugs, and I think in all my playtime ive had one CTD
