I can barely handle the sheer epicness of the first 2. I can't even imagine how good the 3rd game would be the world itself would be crushed under its might.
yes I agree Pandemonium series is incredible a 3rd installment is sure to quiet epic indeed
Same here along with the other obscure Crystal Dynamics games like Duckman, Blazing Dragons, and the Gex game.
Pandemonium 1 & 2 was made by "Toys for Bob" the developer of some of the recent Skylanders titles and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
I doubt that a 3rd installment would be as good as the 2 predecessors. Times have changed, if they would develop such a game today it would be dumbed down in such manner that all the challenge would be gone.
You couldn't give a "normie" player nowadays Pandemonium without them complaining that this games is way too demanding.
We live in an age where every game needs checkpoints every 5 seconds or a manual saving function built in.
Would a game like pandemonium 2 would release at this age, it would be bombarded by terrible reviews accusing it of bad game design and overly political statement like how the game dares to exclude disabled people... Or at least by some of them, cause least people would give a ♥♥♥♥ and the few of them who do, demand an assistant function where you can make yourself invulnerable asap. Because they have familiy, career, everything but time, since they are so busy people, who play 300 hours games like Witcher 3, where 200 of them are pointless filler and busywork but accuse an 3-4 hour game that it doesn't respect their time

♥♥♥♥ it, I mean the glorious mech sequence of pandemonium 2, developers would struggle today to implement such an idea even if they would like to, since people would suddenly come up with "how dare you built in gameplay elements that differ from the core gameplay I !?!?!? I have a master degree in game design studies and can totaly tell that this a NO-GO!!!" like they are some sort of savant which are only good in only one department.
A compromise would be a very good looking visual scene that plays like an walking simulator but is impressing player by sheer visuals, just a glorified cutscene not really gameplay. That's how most modern games handle "variety" in gameplay-heavy game, some of the also allow you to simply skip these sequences/levels.

I distanced myself from modern games almost entirely and only play these old games, because games like pandemonium contain the quintessence of videogames to me, something which is despised by a broad majority nowadays.

Yeah I may sound like old man yelling at clouds, but I made really bad experiences and my hobby is only getting worse by the years. Sry for the rant.

I feel the Same about Gex from 1994 it is my quintessential video game series when I first played it when I was a little baby boy in 2003 I was blown away by the graphics and unique art style, he was truly an epic gecko to look up to when I was a small baba booboo. Don't even get me started on "Gex: Enter the Gecko" I had just recently played an inferior game called "007; Golden Eye" Gex will always hold a light bulb warmed corner in my enlarged heart. James Bond can literally go get shot in the brain by "The Man With the Golden Gun" if #youknowwhatimsayin #amiritefellas ????? :steammocking:
The game 2 is only in Gog.

You say they wouldn't be able to keep the Difficulty, But Toys for Bob made Crash Bandicoot 4, and it is now classed as the hardest Crash game in the main series. They can clearly still make difficult games. So a Pandemonium 3 wouldn't be difficult to make difficult.
