No its not you. 16 bit was as high as it would go. Remember too when the game was created. I'd LOVE to see it redone in HD....

Thnx for the answers guys, but I clearly remember that it was 32bit in my stolen version cause I finished it last year. And I can't select 3D accelerator, game just crashes, so I'm stuck with Primary ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Driver. Any way to change that?

primary driver = 3d accelerator, the other options are only software modes, and no the game has always been max 16bit color

I think you can get 32 bit in the GoG version.

By the way, equal or not equal, if only the game could start in 32 bit mode, it wouldn't require the whole desktop to be using 16 bit when forced in windowed mode.

I'm looking suspiciously at PATCH.dll. Looks like a drop-in replacement for the DirectDraw DLL, complete with a GOG reference. Maybe if someone has the config.ini from the GOG version, things can be tinkered with.

Upon quitting the game, the 16-bit color remains on my screen. Everything is 16-bit now, and I can't seem to change it. o.o

GOG includes this config.ini file in their installers.
