[Tip] A Widescreen-Patch that works

Ladies and gentlemen,

just wanted to share the solution I found to play the game at least in 1600x900 widescreen resolution:

apply the patch on the runtime.exe and set your preferred resolution.
To fix the memory issues at launch rightclick runtime.exe and check vista compatiblility mode, have fun!


edit: oh yeah, it even works in fullhd:

but therefor I had to decrease the resolution below 640x480 to reach 1920 cause it crashed increasing it above 1600x1024 ...

Alas it's vert- (i.e. top and bottom of the screen is a bit cropped) but it surely is a lot better than using 4:3 resolutions.

edit after playing it some more: I suggest using lower resolutions like 1280x720 (or 1280x800 for 16:10) because the UI is too small at high res and there's no scaling option. Especially the font is so tiny.
