Saving the Game

I'm the kind of player who jumps into a game and by the time I've gone through the intro and played for 15 minutes I'm looking to save so I can get back to my busy life. Omikron has no clear "save game" option in the main menu and I had to just quit my first time - thiking it was bound to some mysterious key. Like many console games, which this originally was, saving is done at save points. So, here it is, right from the Manual which I did not read first:

In-game Save/Advice Points:

Throughout the game there are pre-set Save/Advice Points indicated by three rotating rings.
To save your game, simply approach the rings and press the Action key.
This will open the Save/Advice Option screen.

There you go. Now go find yourself some rotating rings and be happy.

Oh, and not enough rings or saves available for your liking? Searcj for save editors or trainers out there, or note one of the discussions here on how to add "200 magic rings" with a little editing.

Clearly this game can use a solid "unofficial patch" that addresses the wonky controls and save system, but until then ...
