kasumi not joining the team

i was speed running the game but unfortunately i wasnt able to get kasumi which i thought is automatic. is this a new mechanic included on the dlc or is it actually bc of my run?

must be because of your run. I got Kasumi and Yui but hadn't got Kana. I might be doing something wrong here too.

I think it's your run, There are a few steps you have to do to unlock her, like visiting the bookstore in town at the right time.

As said before, there are steps you must follow to make Kasumi join the party. You must visit the bookstore, like, 2 times after Kasumi appear for the first time.

i did reach the part where she is meant to be recruited but i dont know what happened bc i was speedrunning the game till the end

i think i mightve chosen the wrong answer that made her unable to join
