Anyone know how to activate cheats?

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring it out.

Start the game with "+set console 1" and "+set cheats 1" as launch parameters. Then use "god", and whatever to make yourself a banana. Simple Googling gives you the stuff you can use.

I've never used the cheat codes in Daikatana (because there's really no need for them) so that's all I could help you with. If you're having trouble with some spot in the game I can give you instructions.

Edit: You might want to try "+set sv_cheats 1" also since the Daikatana is running on top of modified idTech 2 engine.

Edit 2: Tested and such variable doesn't exist. But the "cheats" variable is there and it works. You're doing something wrong with the parameters.

If you can open the console, then just type in "cheats 1" in to console and it should then notify that cheats are enabled.

Probably what is going on is he is adding the shortcut to the steam desktop shortcut. It would be easier to make a shortcut of the exe and use the +console parameter on that.

I only needed to type +set console 1 into the launch commands in steam.
Start the game, press the ~ (above the tab key) to bring in a screen to type in.

Type in "cheats 1" to turn on cheats and restart the game.

Note: god mode is for the ai companions use the health codes for yourself.

I didn't edit any files and I have the version that steam has without the community patch.
