Let's talk about BOTs

So as of every mmo game this have already a massive BOT problem already. I cannot report more, because my character cannot file any report anymore (so many have I already reported).

What are the plans from Amazon to solve this problem BEFORE it gets so worse as it was in Lost Ark?

This is a terrible development for this game. The bots are completely predatory by becoming the top guilds on the servers. Then they bot to farm lucent, and sell that lucent for real money undercutting the real cash shop with Amazon. And they prey on the playerbase by requiring those looking to join the best guilds to essentially make purchases of lucent.

With the one caveat, don't by it from the official store, go to this website and buy it for lower cost. And we will transfer it to you.

The real kicker here is that they are basically re selling you a piece of loot that you looted from a raid boss, but went to Guild Bank instead of your inventory. It is a complete 100% scam game.

You mean the three xyab4y90IOPfglk named characters standing at a waypoints wearing the same loadouts and having the same faces, fighting the same monsters endlessly aren't normal players??? Man, I've been so fooled LOL. Amazon is obviously ignoring it.

First time I've seen a bot horde running around in the same outfits and builds, with Xs23rf67 type names, farming in a circle of Carmine Forest. Was depressing.

The only way to effectively combat bots is to invest resources into active mitigation which companies refuse to do. Another obvious way is to make the game economy difficult to exploit... Contrary to Blizzards take on this selling in game currency promotes botting in your game.

You know how to stop botting? Stop playing multi-payer games until companies actually prioritize stopping botting instead of making it easier so they can rake in the cash...

They will prob do same as Korean Version "if bots spawning in is noticed" an Ai enemy is spawned for elemination, like a T1 Terminator.

You cannot name 1 NCSoft game that does not have 1000s of bots.....kind of expected from my exp playing NCsoft games........PLEASE stop thinking the publisher (AMAZON GAMES) HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH BOTS AND WHAT IS IN THE GAME they simply PUBLISH THE GAMES only a game that says DEVELOPED BY AMAZON GAMES would make them the ones to blame so stop with the Amazon games did this n that.

True and false. Amazon did put effort into Lost Ark to solve the bot hordes, and also Amazon need to contact first NC to address the problem. Back in Lineage2 NC wasn't giving a dime for years regarding the bots, but at least there was an option to attack them anywhere or lure them into a train of mobs with fake death skill, or drop adena to lure them out of their place.

Also Amazon absolutely can ban IP addresses that are out of regions. I will even ban vpn's if I was able, 80% of the bot problem would be solved instantly. But the vpn for some players are a must have, so that option is out of the question.

Let them have bots, they won't do anything; even if I report RMT, it's like nothing, they still spamming after report. Same with bots, and it's an army of them.
If they do something 2 days later -- that's completely useless, the harm was already done.

They should ban from chat after an RMT report and if the report was false, ban the one that did the false report for 30 days or more. For bots they need a 24/7 GM that reacts instantly to bot report, not hours or days later (if they ever do). Too late is worthless and pointless. And they do it too late or never.

So these companies fully deserve what will they get: loss of profits and soon a game with minimal players.

Just play before the ship is sunk, don't even bother reporting, it's just a waste of clicks and of your time and peace of mind. They will react when it's too late with some public relations ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but the bots will win, as always.

Did you see what happened in New World? That was their OWN ip an we had a massive infestation of bots there. Lost Ark.. which is just them rebranding it.. so even less control.. BOT WORLD.. this game which has been out already in Korea.. so has had time in the ' wild ' to evolve a nice community of bot programs.. gonna be EPIC.. I wouldnt doubt if most of those numbers you see online at any time are just bots farming..
