you turn blue/Purple gear into litographs (its basicly there for people to be able to sell the blue or purple gear)

They removed it to make players stall more. The same way they reduced drop rates because of lack of content.

It is not in-game

The best way to fill traits is to farm open world dungeons and use Blues (that drop from it). Full trait it then when you are ready to transition to purple do it.

It is the cheaper way to progression.

Doesn't it only turn items into Lithos of that item so you can re-craft it for a chance of different rolls?

open Lithographs guide there is sets of grey,green,blue and purple. complete full set off greys and you will get 1 green Lithographs and so on.

You craft a blank armor/weapon litograph scroll, convert said gear piece in your inventory with that scroll and then you can sell it on AH

Stones are harder to come by/more expensive than farming mats for some blue gear

You can buy trait stones daily from either the guild shop or the contract coin shop, i don't remember which it was..or maybe it was weekly ? *shrugs*
