Clearly you have no idea. It's a IT company... you know, we do not need to bring employees in to do a patch/roll-out. Can write a script, can do it remote - and to be safe, just have one guy do a special shift to check that everything goes smooth.
Most people won't have all day long available to play whenever you want, and blocking the game 5-6 hours on daytime every maintenance (which happens very often) is not a good decision.
These guys working from home you mentioned would still have to remotely do it during night time hours for the US based company therefor have to be paiiiiiiiiiid say it with me overtime. Why bring in a guy for a "special shift" when I can just do the maintenance during a normal work day and not pay overtime? This is business management 101 brother. Europoors need to stop sooking and fix their continent before its rename New Islamabad.
By 2023, the difference had doubled, to more than 30 percent.
Just use your head and google.
No. You would give one guy another shift, no extra pay. That's how it's done. He would not work extra hours, he just get's another "shift". And btw. everyone would take that "shift" because it's gonna be chill, like on-call duty.
If these guys are salaried then they DEFINITLY aren't picking up an extra un-paid shift. Accept that these guys run their maintenance around a 9-5 work day for their employees and stop sooking like the third world europoor migrants you are. I am posting objective fact.
why are you trying to emotionally manipulate jeff bezos
people with unusally large amounts of free time, shift workers or unemployed are the only ones on during the day which are a minority and the least disruptive for the majority
